July 25, 2007 on 11:44 am | In Articles, Sampling |Need some sound patches for your sampler? Check out Hammersound.net It has been around for a very long time, but still delivers tons of kits. Many are in SoundFont (SF2) format, which can be converted to AKAI, REASON, etc. etc. with a translator program.
Chick Systems, has very good sample translation products, including one that will convert akai discs over to Alesis programs.

Also check out CDextract, which seems to be a very popular sampler format converter.
Their websites aren’t very attractive but the products are excellent!
